Here I am on the road again!
I can hardly believe that I am on my way to New Orleans to take part in such in an amazing project for the city. I feel honored, excited, slightly curious and overall blessed. I look forward to meeting all of the other participants. Up until yesterday I have felt pretty easy going up untilI finally started I started getting the jitters! This past week has been really busy and I have been working hard to tie up loose ends at the Museum.
My experience with NolaBound has been unique so far. I did not study the other participants nor did I research a whole bunch of new things. My goal is to have an organic experience. My constant prayer has been to have eyes and ears of the spirit and speak truth to power whenever possible and to have amazing, unforgettable positive experiences.
My personal experiences are valuable and need to be brought to the table. So I am looking forward to sharing my story and experience.
Be brave. Ask questions.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity.
See you there!
Love,
Alicia

Brooklyn, NY
I love Brooklyn’s dynamic sense of community, bike riding, the arts and culture, murals, diversity, neighborhoods, food, farms, Co-op, all the parks, access to the water, sunrises and sunsets, the view of the Manhattan skyline, under the Brooklyn Bridge, Jamaican food, Cake Man Raven Red Velvet, DiFara’s Pizza!, the style, Target First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum, art galleries, Red Hook, backyard brownstone house parties, Brooklyn summer, DUMBO arts scene, Bed Stuy block parties, ice cream trucks, beautiful black men, trees, activism and LOVE!
San Jose, Costa Rica and Erie, Pennsylvania
My favorite city right now is Barcelona, Spain. I just visited there for the first time this summer and I had the most amazing experience. The food, the people, the language, the architecture, the sea, the Corazon! Yummy! I loved every thing about this beautiful city and loved getting lost in the Born!
Simply put, I hope to learn more about this wonderful city and share what I learn with my network and the rest of the world. I hope to meet a variety of new people and be forever changed by the experience. I hope to take part in this dynamic and creative project to be able to contribute to a shift in consciousness about what New Orleans was, is currently and has the potential to be. Ashe.
To be honest, I don’t have an opinion about New Orleans because I have never been there but from what I have heard the city is mystical and carries a lot of energy and is a place that everyone must experience.
The single most important issue facing New Orleans is mass gentrification—loss of culture.
